Default Tom's VS. TRD front lower suspension (chassis) brace

I am looking at buying a new front suspension (chassis) brace for my GS as my factory brace is bent (damn speed bumps). Is there a big difference in the Tom's brace compared to the TRD brace? Price wise, there is a $180 difference.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Chad

the toms has two more links compared to trd. trd is just like stock but stiffer material and stronger. i don't think it gives THAT much of a difference, so i would save the 180 and get trd

Even if there is a difference, most people will probably not notice it. I think most have one or the other. Not many have had both. I know that manaray started with the TRD and moved on to the Tom's. I think it was mosty to have complementary products since he has the Tom's rear. You may want to PM him to see what he thought.

I have the TRD fronts and the Tom's rear and love the change. I would not be able to tell you if the Tom's is better or worse, though. Sorry.

And the Tom's -only- has two links, which means the TRD has none. But I agree with Henry, I don't think it will make a difference you will be able to notice. [I'm not saying there is no difference.] I went with the Tom's because everything else being equal performance wise, I like to have matching stuff.

Thanks for the replies...I am giong to go with the TRD. With what you guys said and the fact that Steve quoted me a price $211 cheaper then the Tom's, the TRD sounds like a much better deal.

Thanks,

Chad

Heck ,I could not tell anything from stock to the TRD one. But the TRD one is much sturdier and bigger. The stock one is black and flimsey. The TRD one is gunmetal (to match the STB).
