I got my TSIB Brakes done and my front brakes squeak really loud at times. I called the Lexus Dealership and they told me its normal. My front brakes have 70% left and rear has 85% left so my pads are fine. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

i changed them out and the brakes are still very responsive and brake well. i still do get some dust tho...less than before but still does accumulate. i can't complain since it was a free brake change =)

As as side note, I bought and installed my Alternative pads, since I wore out my 08' high dust pads..
It sorta feels like I lost my oem big brake set up...
Also there is a pedal effort increase for sure!!!!
The intial brake bite found on the regular dusty pads, is gone.
I would NOT want to drive an IS350 at a Taste of Lexus Event with these low dust pads...
- However, I am still getting used to them..
Ok for street driving, but not Ok for track (in my personal opinion)

Unless they rescind this TSIB (not likely), charging for the Brake TSIB is Not going to happen...

If you want to keep that "Big Brake" feel.. keep the dusty pads...
The only pro to the Alternative pads is the less dust...
(However, I wouldn't know yet since I haven't washed my car in over a month)
The cons are greater... but again, in my opinion...

There should be no practical "con" for anyone who isn't taking the car to the track.
The only change will be the "feel" of the system, with the TSIB pads being more linear and less grabby, which offers better braking control.
Actual stopping distance will of course be exactly the same either either set.

I'll be setting some "Skid Pad" testing in the weeks to come... for that distance testing...

is this only for 08? what about 06's? im not so sure what are you guys talking about.....=( i just know my front brake system is changed once because at that time too many people are complanting about the noise of the brake so they builded the new and changed for us for free. is it related to this?

Guys Guys Guys....
I think we all can agree. That the difference in stopping distance will be very infinitesimal, when changing brake pads from non-TSIB to TSIB brakes.
But, I think we can all Agree to disagree, how infinitesimal those differences will be.
Be it 10 feet, 5 feet, or 2 feet. As the pad test indicated, it looks as if the more aggressive pad was outperformed by the less aggressive pad, unless i am reading the test wrong (correct me if am).
But, we all should agree, that the feeling or responsiveness will be greatly different, and will take some time to get used to.
We also know that this pad will fail severely on any type of race track or aggressive driving test.
Lets just remember, we are just talking about a brake pad, and not an entire braking system.
Since we like braking (no pun intended ) out mathematical formulas, i have one for you...
not (a ≠ b) does not have to mean a = b.
A nilsquare or nilpotent infinitesimal can then be defined.
This is a number x where x2 = 0 is true, but x = 0 need not be true at the same time.
With an infinitesimal such as this, algebraic proofs using infinitesimals are quite rigorous, including the one given above.
No more fuzzy numbers please (as Bush would say)

Does anyone know when they are going to release this TSIB to Canadian owners? I talked to a Lexus service advisor today and he told me the brake pad swap only exists for 06-07, but not the 08.
