Brake TSIB (Last Question)
Still have not done the TSIB because I like the brake performance of the pads. However now I am tired of the dust on my aftermarket rims and the squealing.
My only question is concerning the squealing. My car squeals horribly!! I dont know if this is because of the amount of built up dust, but it sounds like I have no brakes and its kind of getting embarrassing now.
Is this normal especially that I have aftermarket rims which allows open space for more dust to build up, and will the TSIB fix the squealing because of less dust??
Again my major concern is the squealing, I can deal with the dust but if the dust is causing this, then the TSIB is what Ill do??

The TSIB pads are not for a squealing problem. Mine did not squeal before or after the TSIB pads were installed.
If I were you, I'd first check to see how much pad is left, and if it is still within spec, I'd do a series of stops to bed in the pads again. This usually stops squealing problems. However, if the pads are worn out, they will squeal horribly as a warning to you they need to be replaced.

In short I would highly recommend doing the tsb. I was in the same position last week. Brakes produced an annoying amount of dust since day 1. I had the tsb done and not only did I get new pads, they also put new rotors! I did not notice any performance issues with the new pads. Brake dust is no longer an issue as well.
my brakes squeal horribly as well and my service advisor said that lexus was aware of the issue and that they were working on a fix. I am not sure if any of this information has any merit. She also said that they were expecting a TSIB for rotors on Aug 1st because the compound of the new pads eats up the stock rotors. Again this is all hear say and i am curious to see if anyone else has heard the same information?

Let us know if you hear anymore info on a TSB for rotors. I am about to go in for my first scheduled main. and will hold out until Aug 1st if thats the case.
New rotors would be great!!
I had the pads changed too...they changed the rotors as well. I didn't have any sqealing problem, just unreal brake dust. The old dusty pads did stop the car better but I couldn't tolerate the dirty wheel things. They'd get dirty one day after washing them.
I recommend doing it.

Yes, I've been complaining like crazy also on the squealing. Dealer said wait a bit and there should be a new TSIB coming out and hold off on the brake pad TSIB, supposedly this new TSIB should be released around June-July timeframe. Again, can't count on the merit of that statement.
