Default New Brake Pads

Hey Guys,

I know some of you are feeling this with the 350's but I am with you and just can't take the dust anymore. I am going to take these pads off and go with a lower dust pad. Does anyone have any advice for which would the the best low dust option.

EBC, HAWK or anyone else?

Thanks
Pete

depends on what aftermarket pads you get. I have never had brake dust this bad on any previous car. And I have used a lot of different pads over the years.

I'm planning on switching to Akebono Pro-Act ceramic pads as soon as they're available. Our sales rep from Akebono (www.akebonobrakes.com) says they're currently under development. Hopefully that'll solve much of the brake dust problem.

I just got a 350 because my wife couldn't stand the stiff ride in my M3. This was a big topic on the M3 boards. I don't know if these pads are available for the Lex, but the low dust winners were----(drum roll, please) Axxis Deluxe Plus & Hawk Ceramic, with a couple of votes for Carbotech Bobcat and EBC "Redstuff". Your'e right; the stocks give off way too much dust for a Lex 'lux ride

Doesn't Akebono already make all the OEM brake pads for Toyota and/or Lexus ?? .
(I'm not 100% sure if they do)

You can research the products and company info...

Link here:

I now they make the OEM pads for the 2001-2005 IS300.
