Default (Eibach) Pro kit installed by lexus

I just had the pro kit installed by the dealership I bought the car from. It took them about 5 hours to do the install but it was definitely worth it. They installed the springs and right did an alignment right after.. Not sure if that was necessary just yet since the car didn't have any time to settle but it was all included. The also gave me an ES350 to cruise around while the car was in.

Overall... the ride is exactly how i wanted it and i think she looks much more aggressive than before. anyone looking to lower their car should definitely consider the pro kit. I forgot my camera at the house but will try to post some pics sometime next weekend...

Sorry to butt in, but I edited your title for clarity. It will help anyone doing a search for information on the Eibach Pro Kit since searching on three letter words is pretty ineffective.

Thanks for the post. Back to your normal discussion...

Jesus.. 5 hours? I did my spring install on my 350Z without ANY power tools in under 3 hours. I assume with their air powered tools and knowledge of the IS, it shouldn't have taken more than 2hours + 1hour alignment, also, now your dealer knows you have aftermarket suspension so if you have any suspension problems, they most likely have your warranty on your suspension terminated..

Keep in mind establishments do not work on your car right away after you drop it off. Also, the techs take breaks and lunch. In addition, they are in the business to make money that's way labor is per hour. Not the same as DIY in your own garage.

They could have kept the car all day if they wanted to. It wouldnt have changed anything as the price was agreed upon and they had given be a courtesy car. As long as the job is done correctly who cares..

As far as the warranty is concered the service manager assured me that since the springs were approved by Lexus Canada the factory warranty would not be void.....

warranty suspension shouldn't be terminated since it was installed by the lexus dealer and bought the prokit from them.

Eibach prokit is not manufactured or have any deals with Lexus', therefor, Lexus will tell you they are not responsible for anything the Eibach springs do to your car. Example: If your alignment changes, and you have excessive tire wear, the warranty will not cover your replacement tires OPPOSE to if you had stock springs, and excessive tire wear, then Lexus would be obligated to give you new tires.

Now if Lexus Canada is different than Lexus USA, I dont know, but I do know here in USA, 99% of dealers will not cover any future suspension problems if they notice you have some sort of aftermarket suspension.

Now LMS MAY be different since they quote the spring rates do not change at all vs. OEM, where as EVERY other company's spring rates are different than the OEM springs.

Dont worry too much, how often do you use the warranty on suspension anyways? But I wanted to inform you.

Im not sure what the deal between Eibach and Lexus Canada is. The spirings are listed on lexus.ca and the service manager assured me that this will in no way affect the warranty.

Even if the warranty was affected I have a pretty good relationship with the dealership and they would be more than willing to look the other way, as they have in the past..

Well hot damn then, I guess Lexus Canada has a deal with Eibach, I know Lexus USA does not. Sorry for the confusion.

Does anyone know (in Canada) if you purchase your own eibach pro kit but have Lexus install it, is your warranty still valid?
