Eibach instal (suggestions)
any suggestions for those who have done a DIY instal on lowering springs for their IS350. going to instal it myself this coming weekend, so any suggestions, advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance!!!
I did it without a Spring Compressor, not that I recommend it to anyone but if your confident enough. I just did mine on my 07 IS350 and the AFS sensors are on the driver side front and rear. Make sure you remove the sensor arm Bolt and sway bar. I had trouble removing the front springs because it was so compact in there that it was easier for me just to remove the bolt for the upper ball joint. For the sensor arm front and rear just make sure you only remove the single slot bolt, NOt the one that is for adjustment. After that I just took the struts out and lay them on the ground with the top end of the struts facing a card board box and unbolt it. (It will POP) So a compressor would be helpful. Especially getting it back on together. No different than lowering a RSX or Civic. For the rear you will need to lower the bottom ARM and the interior. After the install no AFS lights, but my light did shot up sky high. Tried adjusting the arms but did`nt do anything so I just adjust the headlights until the next oil change I`ll have the dealer adjust it correctly. Good luck! Oh for the rear I just remove the single top shock bolt in the middle and with a jack underneath the arm I just lower it. Did not need to remove the whole strut cap thing. Install is just the reverse. And make sure you follow the EIBACH instructions on the bump stop carefully. I have the say these Eibach springs are GREAT. Ride qaulity is somewhat better than stock. All the bump I used to feel going over the same RailRoad Tracks everyday felt smoother afterward.

I was in the middle of typing up the steps I took but I have too much work to do. I will try to type something up tonight.
It was the most complicated suspension I've done and it does take time. If you are doing it yourself, do the front first and then the rear.
