I've been holding out but yeah, I've been the test fitter for Eibach for the IS350. One inch drop all around from the sports suspension. So for the regular suspension it should be about a 1.5 inch drop all around. No RSB yet, that'll be in a few weeks, they're still working on it. Anyway, the ride quality is really nice so far. I've only driven it from Eibach back to my house which is like 3 miles, so I haven't really tested it out. Production models should be out soon for the pro-kit. The Eibach R&D guy said they probably won't make a sportline kit. I told him that some of you guys would be interested in a coilover kit, but they really need to see more interest in a kit (people actually going to buy and not just saying they would buy it) .
EDIT: It's about a one finger gap in the rear and about a two finger gap in front.
did you do your alignment yet?? i don't think any of the alignment shop have the spec for IS yet...
rsb = rear sway bar, but actually its their it's their anti-roll kit. As far as alignment, eibach did the alignment so that they could properly test the car with the pro-kit on it.
I’d like to see some good tests on the springs like stop distance, slalom and later G differences. Its kind of funny, I never see these kinds of tests on stock Vs aftermarket springs. I put these on my old TL Type S and it made the ride more “bouncy” but it did help performance.
Yikes. Yeah, that's pretty low. I think I like the sport suspension setup better, at least with the stock 18's.
I think I have to agree with you. I think if it dropped the non-sport version 1" instead of 1.5" then I would be very interested. Are these just springs to lower or are they adjustable struts as well?
