i am thinking very hard, i think they look very similar, i had the tein coilover for my IS before and they looked about teh same
however, the adjustment won't help. the spring rate you can't "adjust", and i highly suspect the car will drive right, since the two cars are pretty different
So the spring rates are really not that different.
They are close but it does make a difference. Also, the shocks have different part numbers. Although that does not guarantee that they are different, I am not sure I'd take the chance unless I know for sure. I have a feeling it is different because the cars are different sizes and weight. The coilovers have to account for that.
The length is also potentially different. I don't have an IS so I cannot be sure but does Lexus use the same parts for the IS and GS? With all the "ifs", I personally would not take the chance.
The length of the shocks are different, the GS ones are much longer, so if you install the IS ones on the GS, expect that your GS will be too low, ... so you will likely damage your suspension parts and bottom.
Front topmount of the GS is different to the IS, so you need to get GS replacements.
Since the GS is much heavier than the IS, expect that you need to replace the springs and shocks may not be strong enough to provide a safe / good handling when you are pushing your GS ...
