Default Clicking in Front End when going Strait??

I just started to notice when I'm driving strait my car clicks. Its about one per rotation of the wheel. I can feel it in the steering wheel too.

I tried jacking up each tire and spinning it to listen but I counld't hear anything clicking when I did that.

Its only when I go in a strait line, not turning or anything, it fades then, but I know nothing is rubbing and I know its not the brakes either. Anybody have any other ideas or suggestions. I'll try to provide any other info if you think its needed.

My car's a 92 SC300 with 146k on it.

Could it be a wheel bearing? I had a worn rear wheel bearing no later than 110k miles and it didn't make a clicking noise; more of a humming noise, but it would pick up in frequency as the car sped up. Wouldn't make much noise at all if on jack stands.

The noise was there going straight and turning left, and the noise would quiet down when turning right, hence I had a right rear failure and when turning right, the right wheel would rotate less as well as having less of a load on the wheel.

I was thinking it might be. I know I can't spin the wheel fast and there's no weight on it when its up but I figure I'd try. The car makes the clicking nomatter what speed I'm at too, 2mph or 110mph.

I guess I'll pay $36 for the local auto shop to look at it. They're pretty good and its $36 for anything on the whole car, nomatter how big the list, and they put it towards your repair price.

Over spring break when I'm gone I guess I'll get all this stuff fixed.

i wouldnt call it 100% but probably close

to check if your wheel bearings are bad, jack the car up and try to rock the wheel towards you. If there is ANY play at all, you have a blown wheel bearing. You can replace just one at a time, but if one of them is going out, the other will probably soon follow.

Yeah fixed it...turns out I only had 4 nuts on the wheel studs and they got loose and eventually all snapped off. Put 5 new ones on and its good as new now.

wow, i had a couple lugs snap on me once and now i remember the clicking. That is NOT a good thing to have happen to your car. Another friend of mine had one break on the freeway. The vibrations sheared the other ones. His wheel fell off and the car was not so happy afterwards.
