Default trd stb installation

I have trd stb installed on my gs400, and it makes annoying vibration noise at idle because it is touching the engine cover slightly.

I had the original mounting plate removed when putting in the stb. Does anyone have the same problem?
I wonder if others either put the stb over the original plate or added spacers to raise the bar.

That's weird Henry. When I installed both of ours I removed the spacers, then installed. I have no rubbing or noise

Did I goof?? Or should I reinstall the spacers on both??

When I first installed, the bar wasn't touching the engine cover. About a month later, I noticed they were touching. What it looks like is that the bar is actually slightly bent since the installation, the center being lowered.
It's hard to tell just by looking, but I put a 3 feet leveler against bar to see that. I don't really do much of hard cornering, I it's hard to believe that thick bar would bend easily.

actually i take it back. now i think about it, i have the spacers, but depends on how i fit the stb on. for me when the stb is on, i can shift it left and right a bit. if it's shifted towards the pessenger side, it will rub the engine cover (that's why i have a little mark there), but if it's shifted towards the driver side, it's cool
