Default Torque specs on the TRD STB

Hello does anyone know the definite ft lbs #s when torquing the TRD STB on the car?

i tried doing a search (torque STB) but got 2 answers:

45-50 ft lbs

and 35nm = 25ft lbs

which one is correcT?

i don't know the answer, but i would say, is it that important? i have yet to see a tech actually tq those down with tq wrench

anyway, i say around 40lb ft

=) yeah i guess you are right.. just as long as I dont do it too tight thatIll brake something or not too loose that it will come off i guess ill be ok.. ill do it 40 ft lbs.. =)

yup, as long as they don't loosen up and come off, it's good deal

install was a success.. had to jack both front wheels off the ground to make it fit.

Notice about a 30% improvement in cornering.. but dam i didnt know the bar was soo thick.. lol

40 ft/lbs seems too loose. I go 60 ft/lbs on my RMM strut bar.

i dont know exactly how tight i did mine... I can totally hang on it though.. without it tightening any more and i weigh 230LBS.. i think thats tight enough dont you?

well just check the bolts again after couple days of driving and see if they are loose

Is having the correct torque really critical when installing a STB ?

Why did you have to jack it up? That makes me think maybe you should realign now since maybe things sit a little diff now? Is that normal?
Anybody got a pic of a GS4 with TRD brace and RMM Cover?

imho, not critical to have EXACT tq. like i said i have yet to see a mechanic to use tq wrench on that

but you need to know what you are doing so you know when you stop. they are all very experienced and they know when to stop tigtening them

sometimes the bar doesn't align and need to jack up the car so the body flexes a little to fit it. for me it worked no problem without jacking

i have trd stb but stock engine cover. the rmm cover is just the stock cover with cf layer on top
