Whats up everyone. Iam new to the club. I just brought a GS 300 and Put 19s on it. Since they have been on my steering wheel has been shaking at 50-55 mph. Can anyone help me out with this problem.

thanks chinspot and JPI. I have taken it in for a balance twice. I'm thinking that they didn't do it or they didn't do it correctly. Is there something else to recommend.

manhattan1 - are your rims hubcentric? If not, do you have centering rings installed? If not, you should.
Also, wheel shake problems are related to:
- balance
- tires (worn, cupped, poor quality, defective)
- rims (bent, or poor quality)
- alignment (which can cause problems with tires)
If your tires are out of round, or the tire itself is somehow unbalanced, it may not be possible to get a smooth ride with them (you'll have to replace them).
I speak from experience with all of the above problems at one time or another!
Also, you need to find a GOOD balancing place that uses Hunter equipment and as JPI says, they need to do a road force variation balance. I even get an 'on car' high speed balance done in addition to the regular balance.
