Hey whats up guys, hoping someone here has delt with this because im just fried. 08 is350. I'm doing pretty much a complete overhaul on the rear end for a customer. I ordered the kit from strongflex, and all the bushings went in smoothly except for the diff( diff mount bush 211867/211866, pinion bushing 211865) i emailed strongflex and they thought i was crazy saying they didnt fit. I even took alot of picture to show them i wasnt loosing it lol. All they can say was "this is a special case, we've never had this happen and we sell alot of bushing... to which i replied with the demension of the old bushing and asked if they can give me the correct one and they still havent responded. Also first i had contacted strongflex.eu, then told me i should contact strongflex.us because thats where i ordered from, which is fair. Once strongflex.us couldnt help me they told me to contact strongflex.eu again because thats headquarters... i also ask to return a few of the bushing without a response yet. Im honestly done which strong flex. I've watched a few videos online and not to my surprise, people have had to make modifications to them, which is in my opinion unexceptable if im paying a premium of $450 for a set of rubber. Anyway, long story short i believe this diff was replaced with a different model because of the number markings on it. I also called lexus btw with the part number that was on the sticker which said toyota motors co, which didnt even pop up in their system becaise it was foreign. So you can see my fustration....
I ended up finding the correct pinion bushing from superpro (SPF4888K) but now problem is when im tighting the bushing mounting bolts, the bushing is being strenght in. As if theres to much of a gap between the bushing and the diff. Also i was expecting for the bolts to be tight but i think thats because the diff is digging into the bushing and idk if thats suppose to be that way. Ive ordered some more bushing from super pro for a lexus isf like the pinion bush so we'll see if those work. Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to read this. Any advice would be appriciated.
I installed the Figs poly bushings. And have to admit that as I tightened the pinion area bolts in, it also bound up right as it seated.
One difference on the rear bushings is the figs have no flange and can be pushed through the cross member. I guess I deleted the picture as I can't find the installed one.
Do those rear bushings have a flange on them? It yes, I would think it should be installed like the OEM with the flange opposite or away from the diff. Did your kit come with spacers? These were like 10mm tall IIRC, maybe they wanted those installed between the diff and bushing instead of under the bolt head?? You can three in the second and last picture.

Well, I ended up purchasing the OEM-replacement set of diff bushings (SuperPro) through RR Racing (along with some new rear sway bar bushings). Didn't opt for the more performance-oriented set, as I figured they might be more noisy or something. Excited to add to my list of items I have to install. LOL!

So, you gonna drop the diff or pay someone to do it? Regardless, this combo is the answer!!!
Both my poly sways are years out without maintenance as I installed them with Energy Suspension PN 9.11104 silicone lubricant.
Little late to this party....are the diff bushings a worthwhile time/money investment for a daily driven high mileage 2008 IS350?
If you're on the throttle hard and get wheel hop, yes. This eliminates wheel hop. I also feel that running lower tire pressure in the rear combined with soft OEM bushings exasperates the issue.
