Good luck with your wheel shopping. Make sure they know about appropriate offset, etc for Lexus!
Busy day today for me. I hope to send some emails on topic of this meet though.

I checked out the location for option #3 (the Olympic white water training facility) with Will (wiz2 on our forum) and families this weekend.
I highly recommend folks go to this place and poke around... it's VERY cool with a circuit of well landscaped man-made rapids, a conveyer belt to pull the kayaks and rafts back to the 'top' of the circuit, decent casual food spot with a good beer selection. They also had a big multi-face climbing wall and mountain biking trails. Admission is free unless you want to ride in the rafts or climb the wall.
It's basically down I-85S and three miles off the Sam Furr road exit.
Will and I both thought "no" for a meet location however. The little country road going into the facility has some of the largest speed humps I've seen in my life (more like speed mountains). My LS didn't scrape, but I'd leave bodyparts from my GS on the road. I could see gouges in the asphalt on the last and largest road hump from other cars scraping. The parking lots are all also still gravel & dirt covered (not paved).
Working on other alternatives above this week and hopefully we can lock something in. Vu, do you have a URL and details on the location where RCR is? How far a drive is that?

Dori, I'm hopeful that we have something interesting "to do" as an additional draw for this meet... We'll spend some time hanging around in the parking lot too, but want the meet to have something a little extra to close out the year.
Dave, I don't have a URL for RCR however, I would just ask david to call up the shop manager and have him contact the boss himself to see if we can take a tour of the facility. As for travel distance, it's roughly 50 mins. drive from my house up there to Welcome north carolina. How many people do you think we will need to reserve for the tour if we were to commit to this plan?
Lots of great ideas. I'm all in favor of a behind the scenes tour of RCR, Hendrick, or another race shop. Michael Waltrip's shop is the best for viewing and a total experience, not too mention their involvement with Toyota. Isn't there a TRD engineering shop nearby in Cornelius or Concord? Maybe we could tour this facility too?
What time frame are we talking about? I'm sure the Cup chase teams would want to finish the season before entertaining a group tour. November 18th is the last race at Homestead.
A tour of Lowe's Motor Speedway would also be fun. Maybe we could schedule time for people to drive or ride the Richard Petty Driving Experience. It's a blast!

Charlotte International Auto Show
November 15 - 18, 2007
Charlotte Convention Center, Charlotte, NC

Now, this is short notice but I think its perfect. I am assuming, its safe to park on the lot and we could hang out together and go to the show?
Maybe go real early and grab a bunch of spots together so when people come in later, the car show is outside.
Your thoughts? Dave, not sure what your scheudle is like.

Two things conspire against us...
Parking down there stinks (and many of the lots are torn up) and the Charlotte car show ususally stinks too.
If the IS-F is coming, I'll definitely go. If it isn't I'm inclined to skip.
