What is criteria for moving a thread?
I see threads moved on this forum and can't always tell why they are moved.
Example is the recent 250 vs 350 thread.
What better place for a comparison for the IS than this forum?
I've seen many other "moves" and there doesn't seem to be any rationale for many the moves.

With a small bit of irony I'm moving your post to the site suggestions and questions forum. The rationale for this move is that your post has nothing to do with the 2IS model and is a general forum question.

I went to look at the thread you specifically questioned. It remained in the main forum (so your supposition "What better place for a comparison for the IS than this forum?" is incorrect), but the 'redirect' that was left was put there by the moderator to let members know the thread was merged with another post on exactly the same topic. If you had clicked on the 'moved' link it would have taken you to that merged post.
Similarly, you'll see other threads moved to the appropriate 2IS sub-forums most notably
Suspension and Brakes (for all posts related to Springs, shocks, coilovers, sways, braces, brakes) or Performance (for all posts related to Forced induction, intakes, exhausts, torque converters, transmissions).
Sometimes posts such as this one that don't have anything to do with the 2IS specifically are moved to general sections of the forum such as car chat, detailing or general forum questions.
