Default Cost of 30k service in California for '15 350 FSport?

The dealership I bought my car from is 4 hours away, and this would have been free there. Luckily, I am given some reimbursement to cover part (if not all) of the service at any alternate Lexus dealership. My reimbursement rate (I think) is ~$500 for the 30k service. Edit: *** I am given 6 "free" service visits.

I've seen what the 30k service entails for this vehicle, but was hoping I could get the forum's help in locating a dealership in the Central Valley or SoCal that would service it under a reasonable price (Preferably under my rate!)

I tried the search function and have read that some people were charged ~$900 (straight up highway robbery!) all the way down to $300+.

The more I think about this, the more I might just make the 4 hour drive =_=;

Thanks in advance.

Normally the 20k includes an oil and a cabin filter change. Which is around $300. If i remember it correctly the 30k only adds the brake fluid change which should only cost anywhere around $100 to $200 extra. Local dealer here in cali charges about $500 for the 30k.

Have you thought about going to a Toyota dealership instead of Lexus? I saved about $150 by going to Toyota instead of Lexus for my 30k service.

Good idea. I’ll need to check with my maintenance plan to see if Toyota dealerships are okay. I don’t see why not. Thanks for the reminder tho, totally overlooked that

I just did the 20k service few weeks ago and my dealer charged me $175, so I would assume the 30K being about 300 bucks.

This does not make me happy... Paying an additional $191 or $141 on top of my reimbursement isn't gonna fly.... Would rather do it myself. Thanks for the info though

I laughed in their faces when they quoted me the prices. I also wrote Lexus an email and gave them a call about the insane pricing for what amounts to an oil change, two filters being swapped, and someone hooking a power motavater to the master cylinder. I have the sheet some where but when I price it out we are looking at 100-120 retail for parts (mobile one oil). So 500+ in labor is insane.

Absurd pricing.

All the items save the brake fluid change are DIY at home in less than an hours time by anyone with some basic tools.

YMMV.

most of the service is checking for issues and not actual maintenance.
if you look at the 30k service list and ask for specific items to be completed (don't ask for the 30k service) the price will be lower.

Like I said in my original post, I know what the 30k entails. Only reason I’m inquiring about people’s experience on price is because I’m given “free” maintenance on all the 30k etc services till like 60k. “Free” is in quotes because it varies based on how generous/greedy whichever dealership is. It is guaranteed to be free if I bring it to the original dealership I purchased it at. If I didn’t have this “free benefit” I would 100% do the maintenance myself..

Update:

Car serviced for ~$485, all of which was covered by my plan. I googled the parts online to compare, and for it being the dealership, it was fair pricing IMO. This was at Lexus of Bakersfield. Here's the breakdown:

Engine air filter - $33.50 (Amazon price: ~$25) Part number: 17801-31170
Oil Filter - $8.24 (Amazon price: $8.50) Part number: 04152-YZZA3
Gasket - $1.89 Part number: 90430-12031
Bulk oil 7 quarts 0W-20 - $44.87 Part number: 00279-T0W20-01
Cleaner (???) - $1.00 CLNR ???
Brake Fluid 2 quarts - $21.22 Part number: 00475-1BF03
Key battery (2x) - $5.90 Part number: 2032
Cabin air filter - $51.00 (Amazon price: ~$45) Part number: 87139-30100

Parts Total: $167.62
Waste fee - $1.98
Labor: $303.00 (inspections)

Hope this info provides some benefit to those who are curious.

I believe you can get the 30k mile service at South County Lexus in Mission Viejo (SoCal) for around $465 + tax.
