Default Lowering 2008 LS460L

I want to lower my LS and looking for best options to do this with out loosing to much of the ride quality. I don't want it dumped just an inch or two will be good for me..

What is the BEST EASIEST way to get the result I am looking for..

does your car have air suspension? If it does, you can get a airride controller and lower your car with the controller. You can set your ride height with the controller and at a press of a button you can raise your car back to the factory height

I believe it does have air ride.. Where can I get this controller? is it OEM or after market?

You can know with certainty if your LS has air if you have the second rocker switch adjacent to the ECT/Power button located on the shifter console plate, that has a strut icon on the button

Note: This is a photo of a 600hL, as the first rocker switch says "Hybrid".

Ok, Then we are confirmed I do have that switch so I do have Air Ride.

So where do I buy said controller? =0)

Prestigious Society Datasystems controller http://www.prestigioussociety.com/?page_id=143
$1000 for controller plus installation. Many CLers have installed this product: DrJekyll and CJITTY readily come to mind.

If you want to go the cheap but tricky route, you can use Toyota Techstream software. CLer mckellyb has had the most luck recently to make this work. But for less than $100, this option is very tempting.

1. I highly recommend you look at the FAQ Sticky Thread about the Air Suspension Controller. Tons of background info about the module. >>> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...fo-thread.html

2. Search ASC680L on Ebay and you'll find plenty of controllers out there (new and used). Some folks even sell them used on our CL Classifieds Forum Page...not uncommon that CL'ers can get a controller and harness for under $700 shipped. As I learned very recently, you can use the Data Systems plug n play harness from the 2007 to 2009 LS (part H-087G) or the 2010 to 2012 LS (part H-087H) if you have a 2007 to 2012 model. As you can see in the above thread toward the end, one of our local ATL members purchased a controller for his 2012 LS from another local person that had a 2007 LS and it worked perfectly. So while searching EBAY, don't get hung up on the year model. Just make sure it's an ASC680L with a harness for anything between 2007 and 2012. Most likely, you'll see the controller and harness advertised for the 2007 to 2009 more than any other and you can go with that since it looks like you have one in that range anyway.

3. Here is a pic and I am sitting on level 3 in this pic, which is what I usually drive on. Sometime Level 2 if road is jacked up

So anyone perusing this thread knows, I've managed to get my '08 L about 1/2" higher than I wanted as a ride height, but I think there's a point past which, at least electronically, you can't have the Techstream tell the car, "leave it right here...wheel well crown 27.5" from the pavement".

Nope. It'll look to hold it, then after about a minute, it'll wake up and realize, "hey, this ain't right", and raise itself another inch or so while tweaking all the corners to be even.

FWIW, it appears the rear can be closer to very little gap than the front. I played with mine for about 90 minutes, yesterday. I think I got it to 27.75" off of the ground at all corners, as measured to the highest point of the wheel well cutouts.

I thought I was going to lose my mind at one point, as I swear I had it all dead-perfect! Every. Single. Corner.

Nope. This is when I found the system doesn't appear to like being below about 28.5", and will start adding air after a minute or so.

28.5" is a 3" compression stroke at normal ride height. We'll see, tomorrow, if this works out well.
