Default Plug&Play F-Sport Foglights/Auto Wipers (DIY)

Hello everyone

I bought a used set of stalk that had the fog light switch from eBay so that I could hook up my aftermarket Foglights on my 2014 Fsport.
When I removed the old stalk switch I noticed that it didn't have 3 male prongs in the connector, like the new one with the Foglights switch had. So I decided to look at the female harness to see if the wires were there and I saw that there were some. The only thing I could think of, was that my car is prewired with Foglights wires and that there should be in the front somewhere. So I went ahead and finished the installation of the new stalk switch and plugged and all harnesses. The new stalk set came with the wiper stalk switch as well. Which included the auto wiper button I also saw wires that weren't being used on this harness.
Once I finished installation, I looked for free female wires where the Foglights are suppose to go on my bumper and I saw some wires that look very similar to the ones that were provided with my aftermarket wiring kit. ( I'll post pictures of my finding) I was able to just plug these harnesses to my Foglights then switched the Foglights stalk switch on and guess what?!!!!! they worked!! Lol

Boom! Plug and play baby! No need to route any new wires at all.

Thank you to the ones who wrote this 2 threads which help me with the installation of my Foglights and my new stalk switches.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-3rd-gen-2014-present/802775-diy-steering-wheel-installation.html

Now I also found that with the new wiper stalk I got the auto wiper function to work and the auto light works as well. But, I also have to get the rain sensor for my windshield since everytime I turn it on it receives signal as if it's raining. I have to get this part and see if everyhing works as it should. https://www.parkplacelexusparts.com/parts/2015/Lexus/IS350/C?siteid=213808&vehicleid=419746&section=ELECTRICAL&group=CHASSIS%20ELECTRICAL&subgroup=WIPERS&component=SENSOR

Also on my previews thread I wrote about aftermarket Foglights I purchased from Spyder. After installation, I saw the beam pattern and came with the conclusion that the lights are just cheap made and they don't match the color of my LEDs headlight or DRLs. I am thinking on doing this retrofit from either the retrofit source or VLEDs.
http://www.vleds.com/h1-matchbox.html
Since the casing around this aftermarket Foglights seem to be an exact replica from the JDM. I first have to see how much that would cost and if it would be superior than the JDMs. I am also thinking on just saving money to buy the JDM Foglights. Will see.
If one of you guys can point me out to a good price on the JDM Foglights with out the stalk or wires then please let me know. Or to a make a retrofit work with the ones I already have. Thank y'all

You can see in this pictures the 3 male prongs that the old stalk didn't have. You can also see the 3 wires exist in the female harness.
you can also see the green female harness that goes into the the Foglights. If I have it, most of you should have it as well.

Here is the final product. I plastic deep the Foglight covers to look a bit more black appealing. I didn't like the original look.

Will you try to install the rain sensor to see if it's plug and play? I doubt it's pre wired though.

I have a feeling that it is going to be since the functions are there but all is missing is the sensor to tell it when yo shut off. When I turn the switch to auto the wipers come on and the stalk plus dash display on but no sensor to tell it to shut off since there is no rain. I will as soon as I get some extra cash to order this part. It's a 2014

Good job on the discovery

I am curious what year is your vehicle? Is it a 250 or 350?

Awd? Or Rwd?

You had me curious about the rain sensor part so I went down to garage and pulled the roof panel apart to investigate. Nothing runs up prewired for rain sensors here in my case

Lmk of you end up finding something in your case

BTW I tried looking for preran fog light plugs behind bumper on my car and couldn't not turn up anything before. Where exactly was it about?

RWD I'll check it out see what I find. I would think it would be a small harness in the mirror track somewhere or just under the roof liner and the windshield

Yes. That is what picture I have is of. I see nothing tapped up not being used
The roof light/sunroof panel only held on by panel pops. But remove the inner bezels and then get a good grip and do jerk motion to release

I looked and couldn't find anything either. I'm wondered if the cable was folded before on the side panel so I pulled that off and found one that ain't used but that's too short. Maybe it needs another extension to go where the mirror is if that's the cable for the sensor? Or maybe it's tucked in somewhere under the liner? Or it just doesn't exist. But then again, why have all the functionalities and the cables in the stalk?
I wonder if someone in here have access to the wiring diagram for our cars?

Anyways here is a picture of the harbes I found on the side panel

Maybe someone with a base model IS and with the rain sensor in it can open theirs and take some picture of what the harness look and where it comes from? That would be awesome help!
