2021 Venza and Sienna
Agreed! But there aint a lot of options I can get my wife to accept...
I totally get not wanting the 4 cylinder hybrid powertrain, but if it were me, I would take the loss of 40-50 hp in order to get the more reliable vehicle. I would go nuts dealing with the issues you've had with that thing.
You trade one set of issues for another. Replacing a vehicle that has problems with one that doesn't but has a powertrain that I hate the feel of and isn't up to the task for some of the things I want to do with it...
Then there's the other issues of the lack of ability to stow or remove the second row seats, so its not just the powertrain.

about the venza...
(from sortpd's post link above)

fixed panoramic roof, which uses electrochromic glass that can be switched from clear to frosted at the push of a button. The Venza is the first Toyota to offer such a roof.

Oh, it’s awful. And it’s such a shame because it’s such a competent and well designed vehicle, if only it were reliable. It just rolled over 28,000 miles. Ridiculous!
And the refresh Odyssey still doesn’t have a surround view camera so my wife won’t consider one. I really don’t know what we’ll do. We may wind up rolling the dice on another Pacifica and hope it’s better.

Yes, it's s shame Honda still doesn't deem surround view camera as an important feature to bring to Honda vehicles, they seem to think it's an "Acura" type of feature, and only fully loaded Acura Advances at that. After introducing my wife to surround view on her X5, she definitely wants it on vehicles now. She still drives our Odyssey from time to time, but would want surround view.
Not sure when the timing on your next Pacifica is, but a new Sedona would be out again, likely later this year. Haven't seen anything regarding AWD, but would have surround view.
Curious to see the final details on Sienna.
