The new Venza checks all the boxes for my next vehicle when lease is up. Decision is whether to go EV then or stick with the tried and true Toyota Hybrid system.

Not a fan of the current Sienna interior, it seemed like Toyota tried to balance the Tesla-infuenced simplicity with functionality and failed to straddle the line well? That said, it does fall in line with the rest of the Toyota line-up (that Sienna dash reminds me of the current-gen Rav4).
Can't wait for more interior pics and how it would stack up against the Pacifica and Odyssey specifically.
Big challenge remains the powertrain; sole option of the 2.5L hybrid which works in the Rav4, already struggles (IMHO) with the Highlander and now with a vehicle that is purchased to haul more people/cargo with the same power? They should have at least kept the same, but boring, 3.5L V6, as an option.....
Now people can finally understand why the Highlander is the size it is........ugh The Sienna is there for those who truly need more room.
34MPG for the hybrid HL and 33MPG for the Sienna....very hard to beat Toyota
If Toyota subscribes to the theory that people interested in the HL but want more room will just move over to the Sienna, Toyota's going to lose a lot of sales. Buyers either want a minivan or they don't in today's market. ALL of my minivan owning neighbors have moved on to crossovers.

My brother, current gen Sienna owner said meh, interior still looks cheap. Their 2015 has not aged well at all, even with relatively low miles. Brakes have been horrendous as well, despite multiple tsb's etc. The hybrid system with regen could mitigate some of that issue.
Interesting that they followed Sedona to have the center console and traditional shifter, to move more SUV-like in appearance.
Next gen Sedona also due later this year will likely continue the trend to push a more premium design/style.
Curious to see any actual functional/flexibility improvements in seating. I'm not convinced that people use the long slide with leg rest functions in the van. And assuming that means that the 2nd row is still a pain the remove. Honda at least has the lateral slide to improve access to the 3rd row.

2nd row seats will not be removable, at least according to C&D.
Those who use their vans for maximum cargo space should note that the second-row chairs are no longer removable due to the addition of side airbags mounted in the seats.
