Default Lexus Enform?

Pretty sure I know the answer but, I signed up for Inform just now on my 18 GS. To start the engine with my I-Phone it has to have the remote starter installed on the car I'd assume? Mine does not have remote start installed.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Enform can start any 2015+ GS. You just have to have the right level of subscription.

All the other features work on the Enform but not the remote start. I would think the remote start feature should be installed on the car for it to work. This car does not have remote start.

As I stated mine is not equipped with any sort of optional "remote start" either on the sticker or installed by me. Are you getting an error message or is it just not doing anything?

Edit:
My was working perfectly but I just went to try it and it would not start ... just gave a generic message about the reasons it may not work so I did the following steps:

Using your normal key fob you need go stand by the car and touch the lock button 3 times ... (1st ) click release, (2nd) click release, (3rd) click and hold until the car starts. It took me a couple tries but I wasn't patient as you have to hold it for up to ten seconds on the third time. Note while you are doing this the lights will flash and horn will honk.

now my Enform app is working again.

Thanks! The key fob worked as you instructed. The Enform app would not start the car and I get the error message. So, does this mean our cars have remote start then?

Have you retried the app after you used the fob?

yes and no on the remote start. Yes in that the fob will work if you have a subscription to Enform, once that runs out I believe you will lose the capability, hence the no. I’m not really sure what changes have been made to the cars with Entune vs the older cars that required a module to talk to the fob.

Ok it worked. I may have been too close to the car for it to start with the phone. I moved away from it and it started. Enform is nice but, I won't extend it when it runs out. Thanks again you were a great help.

Glad I could help, I'm wondering if it was due to the update that was done to the app a while back because mine worked fine before that ... looking at the messages I figured using the key fob might be sort of a reboot to the system.

GS350 F-sport, white/black pretty well loaded ML, HUD, LSD, Park Assist, 4 wheel steering

Some people have told me to make sure my car wasn't in the flood back in Sept. Actually the dealer lost all their cars after the storm and fork lifts took them out after the water subsided and the cars were destroyed. I've gotten a funny look from a couple of people when I tell them the car was made in October of 17. For now on I just tell people the car was a 1/2 off flood special is why I bought it so cheap. The water only rose up to the steering wheel and other than the mildew smell, it's just like new! :}
