The left front (drivers side upstream) sensor is causing an error.
I need to replace b1/s1 does it take a special socket if I am only doing this one and none of the others.? I dont want to run into town again if I can do it with the tools on hand.

You should be able to find a YouTube video on that sensor. But if my recollection is correct, the offset is the way to go. But getting proper torque settings putting the new one back on? Forget about it.

Why is is so difficult foe EVERYONE on both sides of the pond to use nautical terminology and say Starboard and Port. This defines the side, where ever the driver sits, even if its in the back seat!!!! Bank one is the Port bank, no mater where you live or the passenger sits!!!!!!! Bank 2 is the Starboard side!!!!!!
I think the brits just want to make it unintelligible so they can make utube episodes!!!!
Hey, its not rocket science. Its not even science.

I have this DTC as well. Bought the correct O2 sensor to fix it and have yet to do the work. Having to remove the “Port” seat and cut the carpet to get access to the sensor terminal has me waiting for cooler weather. I don’t have A/C in the garage. Poor design IMO. No wonder the PO never did the repair. It costs a ton for a shop to do it.
Yeah, I nave AC in the garage but I also have junk in there. Too much work to clear a space so maybe late September........LOL
The two pre-cat "up-stream" sensors ( Bank1 and Bank 2 Sensor 1 ) have their wiring connectors going to the engine harness in the engine compartment. The two post-cat "down-stream" sensors ( Bank1 and Bank 2 Sensor 2 ) are the ones that have their wiring harness going inside the passenger compartment and their connectors are under the rug by the transmission tunnel.
The Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 sensor is a bit more difficult to replace on a left-hand drive. You pretty much have to separate the O2 harness plug by feel so take your time with that part of the job.
