If I buy a set of coilovers do I need to purchase anything else to get them properly installed? Anything else I should do when getting coilovers installed?
It will depend on which ones you purchase. There are some out there that come with everything that you need. So you'll have to check with the seller/manufacturer.
They should install the same as the other coilovers. Did you have any specific questions? there are a bunch of threads about installing them, and I've posted my experience/ tips as well
First I purchased right from Japan (MegaZip) the original OEM springs and shocks for that car (4 of each). That did nothing to correct the negative camber. Next I did the SPC 67510. Helped a little bit but required buying new toe in adjusters because the stock ones could not adjust enough from the camber improvements made from the SPC 67510. Finally I purchased adjustable UCA. That made me happy. -0.3 camber both sides. If I was to do it over again I would not waste my time with the SPC 67510 and instead just purchased the adjustable LCA. -2.3 camber is going to eat the **** out of the inside of your tires.
Second. Are you telling me that with all the alignments you had done, none of those idiots told you about the missing lip around the edge of the stock adjusters? Therefore they couldn’t do the adjustment but charge you anyway, right? So other than jacking your car up on the lift, what did you pay for?
