I'm hoping some experts can help me identify some wires eaten through by a rat. There are two cut sections (one on the battery side of the engine and one on the other side) but battery side one is mysterious:
Arrow shows where 3" piece of green wire lay loose on the engine right next to a 3" length of 3/8" black protective wire casing
The circle shows some red wire cut off coming right out of a thick wire loom but I can't find what it connects to! In addition, the arrows points to where a 2-3" length of green wire was just lying on the engine next to length of 3/8" wire casing. I can't figure out what the green wire came from either! If anyone can give me some hints about where to look, I'd appreciate it.
Things appear more straightforward on the other side of the engine as I think I see both ends of the destruction:
It looks like the rat completely ate these 2 wires.
One more clue is this OBD code: P0340 (Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Bank 1 or Single Sensor).
Can anyone help me with identifying the eaten red and green wires on the battery side of the engine?

Reason: The red wire connects to a plug just above it and to the right. I'll get everything soldered together tomorrow and report.
Thanks for your interest in helping. I have a 2006. I believe the red wire connects to a plug just above it to the right. I'll try to solder new wire on tomorrow and see if it helps.
Crisis averted. The connector above the red wire was the destination and the rat left just barely enough copper at each end to get some solder on. Once new wires were attached I started the car, cleared the codes, and everything stayed clear. Here are a couple photos of the new wires just for posterity.
Hah! The punchline of the story is that while driving today I tried to rinse the windshield - no fluid. Mmm. When I got home I added some fluid but the reservoir was full. While pressing the wiper fluid button, I happened to have the driver-side door open and wiper fluid was streaming down the door jam. Damn rat!
I had rat chewed up the whole lighting harness on my LS400. Luckily, my insurance paid for the harness replacement. That was almost 30 years ago, did not have any problem since.

So sorry...yesterday was too busy at work to take pics...
Do you have all the wires reconnected or do you still need pics and/or diagrams?
