Default OBDII ports

Question,
is there any difference between the 2002-2005 and 2006-2010 OBD2 port location pins?
i have a 2007 Sc430 and trying to do a zero calibration and I see 2 different TS and CG locations and wondered if they are all the same.
Also, what is a good scammer that I would be able to read speed sensor info on ABS etc.
Im getting a random anti skid activation while making slight left turn usually when braking slightly but enough for the deceleration assist to come on.
this is random and has done it twice of last two weeks.
ive had a shop who aligned the car do the zero point calibration two weeks ago.

Yes I believe there is. I cannot explain what it is but I know when I plug my techstream cable into my son's 2005 SC it trips the VSC/ VSC light on dash light and when I plug it into my 2006 SC it does not.

It is pins 4 and 14, I built one of these tools described in this thread. It works great for my 2002 SC430.

But my question is.... is there a difference between the 2002 and 2007? I’ve tried the paper lip thing with the 4 and 14 pin and it does nothing

Dennis and Crowncouri,
Yes there is a difference between the two model ranges. Before 2006, the OBDII connection on the SC430 didn't account for the CAN bus and since the Techstream uses the CAN bus on some vehicle models, it causes an error on the SC430s older than 2006. I created an adapter (BGW recently did also) that prevents that error. (See post 62 for mine and 64 for BGW.)

DashingDaryl came up with an easier method for creating an adapter that prevents the error. (See posts 71 - 73 of the same link.)

Thanks I knew there was a difference but I was not sure what it was. I also made that adaptor to clear the vsc/vsc light code. Have not used it yet on my sons 2005 but I have it made and he has it ready to use vs the paper clip.

If it did not clear the light, then it is most likely a different issue.

Which of your lights are on?
