I just recently picked up a 2002 lexus sc430 for my fiancé. The issue I am having is a slight vibration on the front end. At times it makes your voice shake and sound like you are talking into a fan. It seems to be more prevalent when the top is down. When you hit bumps it feels like it goes through the whole car, Not what you would expect from a lexus. The car has 49000 miles and was always maintained. This is a true California car and is in excellent shape and I want it to drive like a Lexus again. Also it seems to be at all speeds, smooth roads, Rough roads.
I am new here and your help would be appreciated.

Thank you. I will schedule for struts. I just want it to be back to normal
Be prepared for some sticker shock. I just replaced all four of mine using Gabriel Shocks. I'm happy. But you have other options like adjustable coilovers or even factory stock which are ridiculously expensive. Take your time. Do some research on the site. Lots and lots of info on this subject.
Steering rack bushings are also notorious for causing issues felt through the wheel / bump steer. There are other bushings that go bad as well. Particularly lower control arms 1 & 2. Also the lower ball joints. Don't throw parts at it. Get it diagnosed professionally. KYB is OEM though the tuning may be slightly different than factory. Ask the mechanic to check the rack for movement. This is an easy test.
With shocks and struts you can usually see oil leaking down the body.

I had the same issue when I bought my 2008 SC. I fixed it by getting rid of the run-flat tires. Tires could also be causing the vibration you are feeling.
The car is getting regular tires put on today. I will keep you updated.
The shop looked at the alignment and steering components and said it all looks great.
They showed me the front two were out of round because the front end was lifted. As far as the back ones I don't know.
Do you have recommendations for companies that do that type of work?
