Other Wind noise fixes beside jmcraney?
Did the revised fix, still have wind noise above 70mph on a 2007 with the single pane windows. Not sure where to go from here

The only thing I can think of is check, or redo, your work. Maybe something isn't quite right.

The rubber window tracks on these cars can get hard after 10 years, causing a poor seal. Have you tried "tapping" the down window momentarily to take the pressure off the track - that got rid of a lot of wind noise on my previous '07. You could also try lubing them with silicone or "Gummi-phledge".

I have a fix for the bump-down issue that I'll be posting shortly (within the week).
Just haven't had time to sit down and set up a proper post with photos and videos yet.

I haven't had time to try the jmcraney fix yet but will definitely do it. I can see the top 1/3 of my "triangle" on the passenger side isn't firmly "sealed." Thanks for any input.

Out of curiosity did you hear excessive wind noise at lower speeds as well before doing the fix? Or was it only noticeable at 70mph? I have a late production '10 and swear my car has this issue on the passenger side (and I can sometimes hear it on windy days driving at speeds as low as 35-40mph). I know the LS well enough to know it's not normal. So just curious if the jmcraney method solved it for the most part and you're just hearing it at highway speeds.

Which fix is the "revised fix?" The fix that I detailed in Post #1 of this thread - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...noise-fix.html - was not the first fix I suggested but it is the only fix that I provided detailed instructions for and although I have made a few minor revisions I have never referred to it as a revised procedure. There are lots of ways to fix the sealing issue behind the trim and other methods can give good results but no alternative fix would give better results. Several discussion participants have suggested leaving the metal patch out and using a new trim piece with the registration pins left on, and some silicone sealant behind the trim to improve the seal - that method is unlikely to give optimum results. There are other causes of wind noise in these cars, as others have noted, but the inadequate sealing behind the trim is by far the most common cause. You need to be certain that you have adequately addressed this before you devote too much effort to anything else. The double ply windows only provided a marginal improvement. Your car should be exceptionally quiet even with the single ply windows as long as everything else is in order.

Thanks for the pictures. I didn't see them until after I posted my comment above. I can't tell for sure if your sealing is adequate.
