I found an inexpensive way to repair a door popping noise. There is a repair kit available on Ebay for 19.00 + free shipping from Russia. The kit, item #293269581542 contains 4 rub blocks enough to repair both door check stops. This kit fits most Toyota cars and trucks.
Though I don't have the problem, where would these go? Have a diagram?
Just wondering...
Here is a photo of typical toyota door stops (not sc430, but similar). These are mounted inside the doors with the arm attached to the A pillar. The rubbing blocks go inside these units.
