Default Rear Shock/Strut replacement

Earlier this year someone here spoke of replacement of rear dampers with Gabriel units. Has anyone seen any follow up on this? I did search but was unable to find anything. Thank you.

Same here. I haven't found any suppliers. I guess we have to piece them together.

Any Wisdom on Replacing Rear Shock/Strut with Stock OEM parts on a 2007 SC430 with 60K miles. Are there particular bushings I should be targeting for replacement once I have this area opened up?

AnniesRide

Go to post 1172 of this link and it will give you all the parts you should replace the part number and the cost ordered from Megazip in Japan including the shipping cost. These are the parts I ordered when I replaced the rear struts on both my sobns 2005 SC and my 2006 SC.

The OEM rear struts for my 2006 SC anyway are made by KYB. KYB is printed right on the label with the OEM part number

AnniesRide

I assume the parts numbers worked for an 07 SC as well?

Most of the part numbers were the same. Had to do a little cross reference of the schematic to account for any part number differences. That may have been due to 06 to 07 model years. When you did yours, was there any concern about re-using the "Mounts". I did not order new mounts. I made an assumption that you did not either. It seam like a part that should be re-usable. Thoughts??

If that part number was not on the list I did not replace on either SC.
