Nav update

Thanks, Bob! My DVD player seems to be a bit finicky, but it finally opened. Unfortunately, the latest DVD map I got from Ebay is not read well by the car. It says the DVD is dirty. Even after a thorough cleaning, I get the same message. I suspect the burning of this particular DVD is not clean enough. I don't see another option but to buy another (been too long since I ordered this one - should have installed it as soon as I received it). Anyone suggest another option on how to get the latest Gen 4 Navigation disk?

Wow! I just checked eBay and there doesn't seem to be any "cheap" offerings for the latest DVD. That sucks........:-(

I found the cheaper ones and bought one. Hope it works.

its for sure the DVD. I had the same issue with one I bought last year on ebay and tried evertyhing thinking it was the reader. Finally purchased this 2 months ago:

and no codes for DVD dirty so far.
Also I noticed whenever I got the "DVD dirty" sign was when the car was cold just started so it was strange but nope just swapping the DVD's solved the issue.
Oh and they send you both east and west
