naviks suggestion
Hì Mark,
Here is what you do: strip the wire from Naviks, approx 1/4 inch long. Unplug the connector, Insert the stripped end into the pin18 female side of the connector. Now, plug the connector back. That was how I did mine. I don’t know how others did theirs. Yes, you can leave your battery disconnected, nothing will happen.

Alternate method: solder a piece of 1 inch 28 awg bare wire ( telephone wire) to the Naviks wire then insert into the female pin. If someone has a better way to accomplish this task, please share.

Update. I know this might not be a huge accomplishment for many on this great forum, but this is only the second or third repair or mod I have ever done to one of my own cars, and honestly it feels really great. Couldn't have done it without all of you guys who took the time to not only help me this week, but your comments and contributions to others, even 4 years ago gave me the confidence to do this. So thanks to everyone, really, thanks.
BTW - MY next project is to try and repair about 5 or 6 chips in the paint on the drivers side of my car. They look to have been caused in a single breach of my cars beautiful paint. I've picked up two damaged fenders from a nearby body shop, purchased a handful of supplies for the job, and now I am going to start practicing on making similar scratches and chips in the "practice" fenders and will hopefully figure out what works best and doesn't work before even trying to do something on my own to my cars' door. My wife thinks I'm crazy but she sure does like it when I tell her that I've just saved over $100 by doing something myself.
Have a great weekend everyone. Enjoy your SC.

Did you go with the above (or a variation for audio aux input) to do mirroring? Anyone else who has successfully done mirroring with NavIKS, please chime as this route is appealing to me.
Thank you in advance for the help.
@Mazor1 I recently did some paint touchups to my 2004 SC. It sounds like you have large areas to paint but thought I'd share my experience. Both of my headlight washer covers needed painted and my passenger door handle was chipped. I puttied the chips and sanded smooth. I purchased a paint touch up kit from automotivetouchup.com. It came in 3 cans. A base coat, a mid coat and a clear. I was astonished at the match when I was done. I'm a hobbyiest at best...and very happy with the results. I suspect there is enough paint to practice on your test fenders plus your final fix. Good luck with your fix...
Thanks to Riknchar;
I purchased the naviks unit online and had it installed by Best Buy Geek Squad. It took one hour /$49 labor.
I couldn't be more pleased. The rear camera works great.

Glad it worked out, and happy I was able to help! My local Geek Squad guy does terrific work, but I know this will vary by location.
