Trunk Opening Issue
Had the motors in my top replaced & trunk realigned by the dealer.
My trunk would barely open after they worked on it and they said I needed new shocks and it would be fine.
Replaced the shocks and my trunk only opens 1.5mm and the dealer says that is within spec?
Gap from trunk to bumper when closed is 4mm after pushing the open button it is 5.5mm.
Anybody know what the spec for how far it should open is?
It used to open 2" or so.
TIA

This has been covered before on here. The trunk lid is very heavy and opens very little when unlatched. So little in fact that many have come out to a dead battery because the trunk accidentally got unlatched, and didn't notice it had. This is by no means a self opening trunk lid.

they also have new lift struts.
BTW, can you tell me how much the dealer charged you to align the trunk lid?
