Can anybody help me out with this? My trunk release only works about 40% of the time. When I pull it, I can hear the release making a clicking noise in my trunk, but when I get out of the car and try to open the trunk, it's latched. I searched some threads and it seems like most people have a release that quits altogether. It's strange that mine works sometimes, but not all the time. Any ideas on how to fix it? I use a laptop everyday which I keep in my trunk, so I open it at least four times a day and I'm a little frustrated!

 

probally the trunk shocks are dead
