Default Trunk shock options?

Has anyone tried to install something like this?

Hate the fact that when i pop my trunk it doesnt flip open on its own.

Did a search and didn't see anything, probably no one has come up with anything.

Figured I would ask anyway.

I would take a guess that would involve some modifications that would take some time because putting the shocks on the left and right side of the trunk wouldn't allow the trunk to close. If anything i would see how the springs or whatever inside the trunk work and see if you can tighten them up or something so true trunk can pop all the way open

If you haven't already, you can adjust the spring tension by moving a rod to a different hole.

I made a thread on this about 6 years ago. The problem is that theres no room for a conventional strut.
