Leaky SC how can I drop the oil pan?
So my 2002 is leaking all over my driveway. I changed one of the gasket covers and tightened the other one (i didnt want to remove the ac lines etc on the right side so I just tightened that side). I also noticed that the return line of the power steering reservoir was leaking and I replaced that. Now I have a gasket for the oil pan. Problem is that 2 bolts are located behind a brace. I cannot get to them with a regular 10mm. Is there a way to do this or should i tighten the other bolts back up and pay someone to do this next oil change? We areso sick of oil spots on my driveway, my wife wants to sell my car while I am asleep.

How many miles are on the car and are you sure it is the oil pan leaking and not the valve cover gaskets?
i just changed the valve cover gaskets and did not disconnect the AC lines. I originally tightened the very loose valve cover bolts and that lasted about a year, then it started leaking again, tightened them a little more but no help.
changed them out and used Felpro kit which included all of the gaskets. This is a high quality kit and guess what, no more oil on the garage floor!
finish changing the top before you go to the oil pan...it's a PIA.
you would need to post a pic of the oil pan leak before I would believe it is the problem.

I have not seen a DIY for the oil pan gasket replacement. I know it is a PIA. But somebody has done it. Anybody? I remember having my mechanic check the SC before I bought it and we put it up on the lift and I distinctly remember him saying the oil pan gasket was a PIA. Indeed it is, How do you get to the 2 bolts hidden?

Ok with some simple searches I did find out and actually remember once upon a time. This would probably be a job for the shop. Good time to replace the engine supports as well, since you are lifting the engine to free up space so you can remove the 2 hidden bolts. Good project to plan for.

Then I must take the SC to the shop, let the pros do it.

I always check my steering fluid reservoir and it stays the same, and I do not see any leaks, if the question was referring to my post.
