Default SC430 Value Dropping?

Aloha from Hawaii guys! Long time lurker, but wanted to see if anyone has purchased their SC430 recently. I've been thinking about selling mine, but KBB values have been going up and down for the past few months. Being in Hawaii, I would've thought the values would be stay fairly consistent, as we have top down weather all year, especially since the car only has 20k miles.

For those of you who have purchased out of state, is the process the same as if you were to meet face to face? There are over 400+ SC430's on auto trader at the moment, so I figured I might give it a shot. Have posted on my local craigslist, but no bites at all haha. Maybe it's the universe telling me to keep this awesome car

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago. I would have loved one with only 20k miles. Mine has 67k, and was one of the lowest mileage I could find, almost everything was around 100k miles or higher, and I paid $21k. I would think you should do well...that being said, is yours silver? Just asking because I saw a silver one when I was in Oahu a week ago.

I bought a 2006 SC430 about 2 months ago after a long nationwide search for just the right car. At that time, the prices seemed reasonable. I paid $25,500 for my car (from Ok City), and it had 18K miles on it when I bought it. It had been involved in a minor accident way back in 2008, and the front plastic bumper cover had been replaced due to that accident, so I think that brought the price down quite a bit (but I was fine with it, since the repairs were done professionally at the Lexus dealer). I live in Nebraska, so this was an out-of-state purchase. It went just fine, although I did have to get a new Nebraska title for the car when I registered it.

Seems to me like the prices have actually risen quite a bit lately for the lower mileage SC430s. I know one recently sold here in Omaha for what I thought was a pretty high price (2006 with 22K miles sold for $32K).

What model year is yours?

Thanks for the info. Mine is a 2005. I was initially going to ask for 24-25k, but was getting no bites locally. Researching eBay motors right now. Seems like a good option

Default 2006 SC430 16,700KM or 10,000Mi

Hi Guys
I have been off of this site for years, but when I saw this I thought I would chime in. Back in 2006 I bought this SC430 brand new and became a member here. I immediately installed Tein Coilovers, LX-Mode front lip, 19 inch Amistad type R wheels custom ordered from Japan, and a few other minor mods. Last summer I went over a pot hole and bent a rim which I couldn't get repaired so I purchased 20 inch Savini BM4's.

The car is 10 years old, all original paint, no scratches, not even a crease in the leather. I drive the car about 1000 miles per year, it has never seen rain and is stored in a heated garage. Once a year I go to my Lexus dealer for an oil change and the entire staff comes out to look at the car. I thought about selling it last year, but it just wasn't worth letting go for what I could get for it

Ok so I bought my 2004 in Nov of 2014 for $12k. It had approx 130k miles. Miles don't bother me because I know this engine well. I researched the car by VIN and I saw it was well maintain by the dealer up to about 2 years prior. It was ok cosmetically but that didn't really bother me much because I had plans for it. I've converted the front and rear of the car to 2006-2010 amongst other things. At the moment I'm about $30k total invested into the car (with the purchase price of the car) and I have a pretty custom SC. Obviously to each his own. But I'm happy with what I have. I can say for sure I didn't spend what some people have spent on their SC just to purchase one.

lbintab, that is an incredible looking SC!

Is it still reasonably drive-able as a "daily driver"?

Of course, with 30K spent overall I'd imagine you'd want to keep it garaged except for car shows, but wow!

Yeah it can totally be driven daily. But I have 2 cars I built for show and a third car I use as my car for work. So I find my self only driving it once a week or so.

Ibintab - truely a beautiful car and a nice contrast with the stock

I just got a 2005 with 38K miles for $24,200 tax & license out the door and I feel pretty happy with it

I bought our 2002 red SC430 about one month ago. It had 27,000 miles on it and looked showroom new. The used car dealer was asking almost $20,000 for it and we gave $6500 and traded in our 2008 Infinity M45. We have alwYs admired these cars and are so excited to finally drive one.

I paid $15,000 for our 2001 a month ago with 100,000 miles. The average asking price for that year is around $20,000. In top condition overall, except for a couple of scratches in the lower front bumper.
I don't know what they sold for new in the States, but here they went for $162,000.
