I think it would look good for brighter colours, not sure about white though!

White, Silver, Black, Pearl etc I'm not sure would work as well as Blue, Red, Yellow etc.

I'd paint mine... would be nice to get some contrasting colours in the engine bay.

You could Vinyl "wrap" the silver part of the cover to add colour (and more), then you could remove it if it didn't look right.

Edit: When I say "would work", "wouldn't work" I mean when matching the colour of the engine cover to the car's exterior colour. I should have said "works best" and "not as good". Of course you can choose any colour you like and not just match the cars colour.

There have been a few members who have wrapped and painted theirs also. I believe one went with bamboo woodgrain vinyl, another went with accent metallic purple paint to match his purple chrome valve covers and purple ignition coil wires. A few other members have done red. It's been done and results are nice, if that's what you're looking for. Search for those terms and you might find a few photos.

...I think it would look good, especially if you did a couple of the other plastic pieces also, to compliment the engine cover. The only drawback to your color, is that it may show dirt alot easier....but that would give you a reason to detail the engine bay...lol....I'm planning to do mine or add some color to it & the engine bay sometime this fall, but hadn't decided what color I want to go with

I'm **** about keep everything clean anyway. So that parts not a big deal. The car is up for sale so that is why I ask. I don't want to turn people off. I still keep up on everything to keep it nice. I'm finally getting around to doing all the interior led lights ( doing so on all my cars). I had seen some of the pictures on here of others who had painted their covers. I always liked in the car custom world, engine bay and parts painted to match the outside.

Coleroad, I have been meaning to ask if your car is still for sale. It's in your forum signature and I have looked in the used car section but don't see it...
