Default Powder Coated Engine Covers...?

I was just wondering, for those of you who have them painted, are your engine covers and other pieces, powder coated, or are they painted with a specific paint, to withstand the heat? Also, if any of you Alpine/Millenium Silver GS drivers have this, could you please post pics?

if you are talking about the plastic covers, you can't powder coat that. Your best bet would be paint specifically for plastics(which Krylon has) or get a CF cover and paint that....

The same paint as the car, and the clearcoat isn't affected by the heat? i thought that might be an issue, b/c i was going to have it done, and didn't want to ruin anything.

no..don't put them on right away ,let them dry right... i recently had my pieces repainted cus they they started 2 fade and has a little bubbleing in some areas but it lasted about 8 months and i just decided 2 redo them, i say let them dry cus sometimes a shop gives them 2 u when they come right out of the oven and cooled down a little but let them sit 4 another day or so and then put them on and u'll b fine...good luck

Yup, just like bluelex said... Factory paint with a good clear coat and you should be fine.
