I'd also be interested to see how you did this! What parts did you use? How did you wire it and as noted above, how did you get past the steering lock? Did you have to leave a transponder under the dash? Looks great!

It's actually an aftermarket alarm kit. It came with push start and smart key system. So when I walk up to the car it automatically unlocks. They also got the convertible top to function when I remote start the car. They had to leave a key in the ignition but it is covered by the push start button. You cannot turn on the car unless you have the smart key remote. My only issue is my drive side door does not unlock all the time. My guess is from the door actuator. I am still currently trying to fix the door actuator. The smart function works fairly well, but I have not had much time with it yet to tell.

http://www.easycaralarm.com/remote_s...arm_e772as.php

Folks, here is the website for the product above. It appears the costs is a few hundred bucks not including installation. They also offer different remotes and options.

The newer one is ep400. That's what they told me. The one I got can only unlock the driver side door using the smart function and the ep400 will unlock all doors using the smart function.

The only things I do not like are

-The aftermarket chirps
-smart key unlock only on driver door

Yes the push start button is used over the existing key hole

Dude, I watched that video you posted and they HOSED your exterior during the installation. It almost looks like a BMW.
