February I flipped my 02 SC for a 2010 SC. For those who don't know there was only 329 SCs made in that last year of production-hence the plate. Our little secret!
Then in April comes my first ever motorhome-a diesel pusher at that. I spent a week camping off the Pacific and cruisin with my SC. That's the life! 41 years teaching and retired (sort of), but still teaching a few hours a day to pay for all my fun stuff. As the saying goes-I'm spending my kids inheritance. Life is great, especially with the top down.
I must say your body shop did a fantastic job on the paint. The color in your photo makes the car pop!
Thank you much. I'm very happy with the result. Only you and I and a whole lot of forum members know about that journey. They really did an outstanding job. No regrets. I feel fortunate to be a member of the 2010 SC members club.
Yes, it was a journey that brought us closer together. Lol. Wasn't funny at the time, but all is good now. The only negative is that because the electronics has changed for 2010, most vendors still do not know that the 2010 is different from all other model years. I've about given up on a backup camera. The 2010 is HDD rather than DVD based and that is a problem, although that is my favorite part of the upgrade for 2010. Why they didn't include the camera is beyond me.
Do you still have any pics of the 02 Sc you chopped loose?
Here's my 02. I was the second owner from 08 to April. The SC is not towable, so I picked up an SRX to tow, but if I camp near the the ocean, I have the wife drive the SC.
Well done John! Looks like a fantastic set up! Enjoy it all as much as possible! Perhaps you can provide us with some camping pics in the near future...
