Dash Wood trim

I have a 2002, without navigation, thus the wood trim on the dash does not include a cutout for the navi screen. My trim has a hairline crack, and when light strikes it in a certain way, the crack is very noticeable and aggravating. Thus, I would like to replace it with a new piece of trim. I called a couple of car interior specialists in the Atlanta area and they won't even try replacing it. Both had the same suggestion, contact the dealer and they can determine, using the vin number, whether there are replacement parts for the trim. I called Nalley Lexus in the Marietta area and they did check and determined that there is a replacement available, but it costs about $1800 plus installation in $250 range.

Anyone have any other options to consider?

Thank You! It looks to be in pretty good shape and the right color, at least from the picture. The cost is low enough to take a chance on it. If it matches it sure beats paying $2,000 for a replacement.

The dash wood trim arrived yesterday and it is an exact match for my car. Thank you for finding that for me and I am anxious to getting it installed into my car. $80 sure beats the $2,000 quoted by the dealer.

I forgot to take the pictures. I had the install done this morning and you would never know that the replacement piece was not original. It looks great!

So what did they charge you for there 5 minute install

They cleaned it up, kept it for an hour and charged $100.

So you got a $ 100.00 car wash and a 5 minute install. I just love the stealerships. No good will there. I know we all have to make a living but that charge is just plain dishonest

Yeah you are correct, but damn the car looks good
