Default first mile vibration

Car has this vibration for the first mile or so. After that it smooths out to nothing. don't hear anything on corners, no metal on metal ( I know they are pressed in bearings sealed).
New rubber, fresh alignment, balanced wheels.

Anyway, I can't tell what wheel it is coming from.

what would cause a good vibration for a short period of time?

Is this the start of wheel bearings? If so, how do you figure out what corner?

SOME MODEL/BRAND TIRES GET FLAT SPOTS WHEN SITTING. After driving a while they get round again.

What tires do you have on your car?

This is more prevalent with different brand tires. I have 2 SC430s. The one with Continental DWS Extreme Contact tires does this when parked for a few days. The one with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires is SMOOOTHHH all the time.

I agree.
Flat spotting.
My GS sits a lot and the Dunlops have some vibration for a mile or two.

Eagle GT. Brand new.

It is doing this sitting at work, so sitting for 4 to 5 hours.

Run flats or non-run flats?

I can't comment on GTs on a SC430. I had them on my LS460 and had them removed because of road noise. The tread pattern was aggressive and they scalped on the edges badly.

My vote is flat spotting. Running Conti DWS and I get the same issue. But I can live with it. BTW, some Lexus dealers actually advise against Goodyear because of too many customer complaints.

FYI, my SC430 with Continental DWS tires will shake badly if I get it up to 60-70 MPH after sitting a few days. The steering wheel will shake almost 1" and the seats vibrate, then after a few miles it settles out as the tires get round again. It's not so noticeable at 30-40 MPH.

I think you have tire issues. Local Goodyear dealers here have a 30 day ride return policy. I used it once. I had poor riding brand new Goodyear tires removed and had smooth riding Michelins put on.

Thanks for the info. I can live with it. Good to know what the issue is. 120k miles, so I am watching for wheel bearings.

I suggest you look at the lining as well.

Had these problems to and after some new coilovers, new tyres and lining it was gone.
