I just did the tires balancing and alignment last week, new tires just has 7k on it. I notice that the Steering wheel vibration when excess 70mph . The vibration coming time to time not all the time when I exceed 70mph ? did anyone has this problem on there RX300?
what can cause this issue?

How old is your rotor? Check the inner side?

 

Did the vibration happen before you got the new tires?

 

It looks like a tire balance issue.

As you drive the tires warm up and they can become out of balance .. specially if the balancing was done on cold tires and was set at extreme and yet within tolerance.

I would suggest that you swap tires (front to back) and see if the vibration changes. If so you will have to take it back for re-balancing. Most tire shops are very helpful in figuring what is going wrong.

There are other reasons for vibration but the 70+mph usually point to large radius from the hub (tires are the prime suspect).

Note: There are cases where after multiple balancing efforts the problem did not go away .. till the owner ditched the tires. [Use the search function]

on the front to back rotation.
This has isolated the problem on a couple of vehicles for me.
Once it was a broken belt, probably not the case with new tires unless one was defective.

 

This happened to me when I had my 99 RX300. It was a defect in the tire. I was vigilant with the tire shop I went to. After I complained about the Dunflop tires that were on the car. After calling Goodyear and complaining, I went to their "Authorized dealer" and had them balance the tires....again...and again....for about three different times. I took the tech out in the car to show him the vibration also. I did also replace both side lower ball joints, tie rod ends and control arms a month before as goodyear tried to blame it on "word suspension" parts. After all that goodyear authorized replacement of all four tires under warranty....I have 90% tread left so I got the most expensive goodyear tire the goodyear assurance comfortread.....Problem Solved!!!

Salimshah you are right! I took it back to the shop, they said one of the tire is out of balance due to the temperature Tolerance so they took both of the front tires of and re-balance it again and took for the test drive everything fine! I took it to work today going constantly b/w 60,70, and 80 it fine now! Sweet!!!
