Default Squeaky Windows

What's the best thing to put where the glass meets the rubber to stop squeaking when windows go down and up? Thanks for any suggestions!

I recently had this issue with the drivers side window of my 02. I found that just cleaning it very well made the problem go away. I used a detailers stick (basically a very large q-tip) with some Formula 409 on it to get deep into the rubber seal and clean it. I then used the same detail stick wrapped in a microfiber towel to get all the "black gunk" (technical term) out of the seal. Once I did this, the window stopped making any noises/squeaks. The only downside was I had to clean the window glass several times until all the 409 eventually evaporated (a day later) as it streaked the window. All in all, it only took me about 5 minutes to complete.

I did not put anything in the seal after I cleaned it. Perhaps I should have done so. I am interested in knowing if there is indeed something I should do to condition the seal other than just clean it.

great advice, will try it as I've never really cleaned the rubber seals. Great way to invest 5 minutes.

Greetings from Down Under, a cheaper alternative is glycerine (glycerol). It lubricates and refurbishes the rubbers usually cheap from pharmacy stores
