Default 7.5A DOME Fuse Keeps blowing

Ive went onto TIS and received some info in regards to the electrical components of 2002 sc430.

Fuse 19 on Passengor Box:
Interior light, personal lights, vanity lights, foot lights, ignition switch light, trunk light, antenna, garage door opener system audio system.

Each time I install a new fuse, it immediately pops. Wondering if there is any general advice to help diagnose root cause. Often it seems that wires ran through door grommet can become exposed....I have done no modifications to the vehicle. Not sure if there is a particular area I should start looking for exposed wires, I have a feeling its is going to be a long process with my skill level to find the short.

We can assist but will need more info:

When did it begin happening?
Can you remember something happening before the issue started?
How long have you had the car?

I obtained the vehicle in January 2013, the interior lights have been out since. The dome assembly did not have any bulbs to begin with. I finally bought some bulbs and would not work. Checked the fuse, sure enough blown....replaced with another and it blew as well.

Not sure why but my antenna motor will work and I can listen to audio/cd changer....details for the fuse say these devices are on that circuit....but anyhow.

Just not sure if I need to pull door panels to check wiring or what location of the car most of the possible wiring shorts could be.

Let me know any more info that would be of value.

Thanks

Can you contact the former owner ? There might be some help there. If not check the service records and see if anything was reported there.

Yeah, former owner doesnt have any idea....she didnt know. Service records on lexus drivers did not make mention of any work done in any dealership pertaining to this.

I know its tough diagnosing electrical problems, not looking forward to it. Thanks for the direction.
