Default Interior lights and puddle lights not turning on

Hey everyone,

I just purchased my first 2IS about a couple weeks ago. 2007 IS250 AWD with navigation. So here's the scenario. When I was looking at the car I noticed the puddle lights under mirrors aren't turning on as well as the interior dome and map lights along with door courtesy lights. Everything else works (navigation, glove box light, center armrest interior light. But all the others don't. What could it be? A bad fuse ? Bad relay? Tried to search up on it but not a lot of answers were found.

Thank you

Its probably a bad fuse. That fuse box is located in the engine bay. Check the manual to find which fuse slot is for the domelight, puddle light and such.

Hi Adziu, I have a 2007 Lexus IS 250 and when I bought the car I also noticed the same thing, my interior dome lights and puddle lights did not turn on. For me, I simply had to replace a dome light fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay. Lexus put some extra fuses in the fuse box that may still be available for you to use (this was the case in my situation, I had an extra fuse so I didn't have to purchase a replacement one). About a year later since replacing the fuse, no further issues.

If they don't come on when any door is opened, it's probably a fuse. If they come on when one or more doors are opened then it's probably the door jamb switch on the door that doesn't activate them.

Yeah I wanna say it's a fuse also. Sucky part for me is that the owner's manual is no where to be found. Looks like I will have to find which one it is via internet.
