Exclamation Puddle Lights Please help!

Hi everyone,

I have been a long time lurker, I usually find all my answers on here until today ran into a problem with my 2007 Is250. Both of my puddle lights are not working. Last night when I was approacing my car, both of my puddle lights would not turn on and the same if I was unlocking the car. It worked the day before. After some research on here it seems as the dome light is the same as puddle light? Is this true? But the odd thing is my dome light is working fine. I also checked the dome light fuse and replaced it with the spare 10amp fuse and my puddle light still doesn't work. I also tried replacing my puddle light bulbs, open the door panel to make sure the connect wires are not loose, still doesn't work. Have anyone experience this issue before? Do you know if there's a separate fuse for it? I couldn't find it in the owners manual. Please help!

Thanks in advance!
-Henry

Remove the bulbs and with a multimeter check to see if the connections are even getting power any longer.

Hmm just throwing this out there, maybe check "courtesy light"? Maybe they're the same as the lights on the bottom of the doors, do yours work?

The courtesy door light does work, but I don't think it's connected to the puddle light as it will only light up when the door is open. I tried removing my battery terminal to see if it would reset the car computer boards, still no luck!

After searching on here it seems as the puddle lights is the same as dome light. The dome light is working fine and the dome light fuse is good as I replaced it with a new one. Would you happen to know if the puddle lights runs on an different fuse other than the dome?

I'd suggest flipping the contacts for the LED bulbs that u put it, for some odd reason if they only work one way, I ran into a similar problem both of my oem bulbs were burnt out, I replaced them with LED bulbs n found out that they only work with with contacts on one way

I will try this out tomorrow morning, I do have a lot of spare new led bulbs to test out. Hopefully this method will work, thanks!
