This is the first car I will be owning with run-flats.
They are going to be the new Dunlops that the new sc's come with.
My understanding is that you can "drive" up to 100 miles with the run-flats. But what about if you are driving long distance ? Are you at the mercy of the Lexus Road side assistance center.
I have read many threads concerning the the run-flat sensor and that the person removing it should know what they are doing.
It's "get to your nearest lexus dealer ASAP the only answer"
Would getting a "flat" on the run-flats be my excuse to go with 20" rims.
And then I would have no spare at all !!!!!!!!!!!
I have found out the hard way about the runflat....I was driving the other day and something was in the road, couldn't get out of the way due to people being next to me....well needless to say I hit the object in the road....the only problem is that I have 20'' rims on the car....when I bought the car I had the runflat option on the car, so I had no spare tire....called the service center and got a tow to a tire shop where they put a new tire on for me....lucky for me it wasen't on a sunday..,
