Default Run Flat Question

Reading in here about Lexus replacing punctured runflats with less than 25% wear brings me to the question if punctured is a run flat un-repairable or is it just not reccomended?

My ride is on order and I am struggling with the runflat issue, the one I test drove did not have runflats and drove beautifully but in this forum I read a lot of people have issue with the runflats.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Dealer told me runflats are not repairable ever. If you can get regular tires and don't mind giving up trunk space for a spare get them. IMO you do not even need a spare since you have Roadside assistance. The runflats ride very very harsh and need to be replaced for every nail in the tire, because those tires are not patchable.

Thanks for the info. That would make it a $350-400 puncture. Roadside assistance and a conventional tire looks better and better.

Now the trick will be to get a car without runflats! My dealer says they nearly all come with them whether you want them or not.
