My air system almost always defaults to recirculated air; I like fresh air coming through the vents, whether I am using AC or not. I tend to set the temperature to 68 without the AC and around 71 when using the AC, but whenever I start the engine I always have to press the airflow button to get the airflow off recirculate. If I keep the thermostat at 72 degrees it will stay on fresh air, but that is usually too hot for me. Is there a way to keep airflow on fresh air as opposed to recirculated without keeping the temperature setting up so high?

Depends on the external temp. If it's too hot outside, the only way it can keep it cool is to recirculate the air it has already cooled. For example, it's not possible for it to instantly cool 95 degree air to 68 degrees.
Redliner: How is that a problem?? its just a touch of a button. Just like the staples button "That was easy!!"
lol well it's easy (as is the air recirculation button) just annoying to push every time I drive. No default volume setting is a nuisance too...I'm full of complaints today lol. Btw did you get those rims yet? I'm anxiously awaiting

: It states 2~3 week to build and delvier by end of week 4. I emailed Howey Industry & got an update states it might take 4~6 week to ship............., I'm kinda disapointted at the moment as my tires is sitting in the garage but no sign of the wheel!!!!
Thank you all for the replies. I was hoping for some trick to override the Lexus brains. If I had the air system in the Auto mode, I could see it doing what is necessary to cool down the car the fastest way, but I just want to leave the unit on in the fresh air mode (with the air conditioning usually off because of the mild climate where I live). Oh well, I love just about everything else with the car so I can push the fresh air button each time I start the car.
RedLiner8...No default volume setting is a nuisance too...
I have an '02 that I stored the volume level on the steering wheel. I just touch the "set" button and the volume is reset to my default volume. That may eliminate one of your complaints.
